Two important milestones took place yesterday in the Singing River Pension litigation. The website dedicated to providing information regarding the Federal Court class action settlement went live. The site, created by administrators of the Federal Class Action settlement, is designed to provide accurate information to pension members and the public. Individual Notices were also mailed to all class members. These Notices provide the terms of the settlement and important pending Court deadlines.
“This is the important next step in obtaining final approval of the settlement,” said Federal lead counsel Jim Reeves. “The Notice and website are resources which contain accurate information. Such Notices are a routine part of most class actions but they are particularly important in this case because so much confusing and inaccurate information has been disseminated about the settlement.”
The website can be accessed at www.singingriversettlement.com. It contains links to important settlement documents, answers to frequently asked questions, and a schedule of important pending dates and deadlines.
